Laverne is in the vault above the pond as you enter the cemetery from the main gate.
She had a heart of gold. Laverne helped her mother and brother run a little corner Tavern for years Located on the corner of N. Broadway and Desoto in North St. Louis City. It was a booming lil place, a neighborhood tavern as so many were back in the day.
Laverne was my Aunt by marriage to her nephew.
She lived two doors down from Grandma, Her mother Helen Beatman.
She married Sonny Wishmeyer, had twin girls, Sharon & Cheryl Wishmeyer.
I lived with Laverne for several years so I came to know her pretty well. She was such a good person. After her and sonny divorced, she never remarried but bought a home and raised her two girls, her ex husband lived in the lower apartment from her mother, two doors down.
They all lived with in a few doors of her last residence was 5034 Bulwer Ave. St. Louis Mo. 63147
She was a surviver, a strong willed woman who asked no one for anything and did for herself and her family.
She was the familys caretaker, reguardless of there needs.
