Every dog, is one of a kind, to the ones who love it.
Daisy was born June 17, 1997 in Social Circle Georgia, she came into my life at about six weeks old. She became my rock, when everything else seemed to be falling apart around me.
She was my constant traveling budding, curled up in the front seat sleeping for hours. She shared her bed with a goat named Harley and raised two litters of kittens, and one litter of eight puppies of her own. In the 11 and half years that she was with me, she may have barked a total of three times, but she had this high pitched whine whistle that would burst an ear drum. She hated the rain, and refused to get her feet wet. She would fall asleep on her back with all four legs spread out, and look embarrassed if she woke up and caught me looking at her, trying not to laugh. She would have been the dog, that if someone broke in to steal, she would show them what to steal just to get her ears rubbed. She pointed at cats later in her life, as there were not any quails in the cities that we would end up living in.
She was diagnosed at 11 with cancer, and she fought it with at every turn. Her last travel was to walk down the hallway and come find me and die at my feet as I was petting her at 6:50 AM Monday November 24, 2008.
I took her home, to Monroe Georgia, where she is buried on my parents property.
Never in my life, have I ever had the honor to a friend as she was, and I miss her with all my heart. Yes, she was that one of a kind dog.
