Clifford Edward "Yank" Adams Sr., 73, of Waycross, died Friday (Feb. 4, 2005) at the Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross. He was a native of Coffee County, born July 28, 1931. He was the son of the late Mose and May Bell Worth Adams. He was an auto mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. His church membership was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include one son, Clifford E. Adams Jr. of Brunswick; one daughter, Barbara Adams, Munich Germany, two sisters, Ann Gillis of Waycross and Florene Gibson of Douglas; six grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral was held at 11 o'clock this morning at the Sims Funeral Home Chapel in Douglas with Elder Bobby Cardwell officiating. Lois Mills, Lou Ray and Beth Harper sang, "Precious Memories" and "I Need Thee Every Hour" with Lois Mills, pianist. Burial followed in the Cumorah Cemetery near Douglas. Active pallbearers were: Donald Smith, Ronald Smith, Clifton Worth, Harold Wooten, David Hurd and Edwin Lashley.
