Gloria Marie Spigener Ahrens

Momma of three, Granny of five, Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend
Gloria was a lifelong resident of Long Beach, MS. She was a member of Long Beach First Baptist Church, and worked in floral design for over 40 years. Gloria will best be remembered for her playful nature and her kind and loving heart.
Gloria will be missed dearly by all of those who knew and loved her, but especially by her family. Gloria is survived by her mother, Ivy Spigener; her sisters, Sherry Etheridge and Kathy Hurst; her brothers, Bobby Spigener, Jr. and Jimmy Spigener; her children, Deonna Carroll, Jennifer Leimer, and Wayne Ahrens Jr.; and her grandchildren, Ivy Owen, Bailey Ahrens, Sadie Leimer, Mallory Ahrens, and Avery Leimer.
Other family members who will miss her include her sons-in-law, Aaron Leimer and Larry Carroll, Jr.; her brother-in-law, Larry Etheridge, Sr. and her sister-in-law, Nancy Spigener; her nieces and nephews, Larry Etheridge, Jr., Beth Etheridge, Doug Hurst, Jr., Sam Hurst, Sarah Spigener, Holly Davis, Jacob Spigener, and Jesse Spigener; and her daughter-of-the heart, Tara Morgan.
Services will be held graveside at Long Beach Cemetery on First Street and Giraud Wednesday, July 18, at 9:00 a.m.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach is in charge of arrangements.

Her children, Deonna Carroll, Jennifer Leimer, Wayne Ahrens, Jr., 5 grandchildren and extended family will dearly miss her.

A lifelong resident of Long Beach, Gloria was a friend to everyone she met. They often called her GLO, FLO or Gloworm. She was a hard worker all of her life. Her floral arranging talent was well known throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She began in flowers over 42 years ago with Designs by Debbie in Long Beach followed by Forget-Me-Not of Gulfport, Town and Country Florist of Long Beach and 21 years with Adam's florist of Gulfport. Last fall, she began work at Memorial Hospital Gift shop. She loved working there and loved all of the wonderful people she got to work with. She was diagnosed with cancer only a few short months later. Special thanks to her close friends and Clifton Walker of Walker Florist for being so good to her. We will always miss her.
