Mrs. Elizabeth Guyer, widow of Peter Guyer, died at the home of her son, B. F. Guyer, Richard avenue, Saturday morning, at 7:15 0'clock, aged 87 years, 4 months and 6 days.
Mrs. Guyer, nee Basehore, was born near Rocky Spring, Franklin County, and is widely known in this part of the valley. The past three years she has made her home with her son, B. F. Guyer, who recently moved from the Himes farm, north of town, to his property on Richard avenue. She was a member of Messiah U. B. church and a woman of many estimable qualities.
She is survived by two sons, B. F. of Richard Avenue and Jerry, of Chambersburg, and one daughter Nancy Wright, of Green Spring.
The funeral was held Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. L. Grimm, of the Messiah U. B. church, and his father the Rev. J. W. Grimm of York. Interment was made at Salem church.
