Debra Kay Brown, a 55 year old resident of Warsaw, died at 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Open visitation is Monday, at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton.
Ms Brown was born on Aug. 12, 1954 in Grundy County, the daughter of Ferris Brown and Virgie Wickizer Brown. She graduated from Trenton High School and received a degree io teaching from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Ms Brown taught at Clinton Middle School for 27 years until her health caused her to retire. She was active with the dog rescue program in southwest Missouri and especially enjoyed officiating at school sports events.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Virgie Brown of Trenton; a brother Gary N Brown and his wife, Aida of Edwardsville, IL; and two men she raised as sons, Jeremy Hibbs and Michael Hibbs of Osceola.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial donations are suggested to either the Hope Lodge or S.T.A.F.F. Animal Rescue.
