Graveside service for Robert Lee Adams, 62, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Sill National Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Martin, chaplain of Hospice Southwest Oklahoma, officiating.

Mr. Adams died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in Lawton.

Entombment with military honors will be under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

He was born July 21, 1946, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Otho N. and Tina Lee Sims Adams and attended Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls. He join the United States Army in 1964 and served for 4 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in Korea before being discharged honorably on Feb. 9, 1968. He married Betty S. Pollock May 8, 1964, in Wichita Falls. Robert was a welder and worked in Wichita Falls for many years. He was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls before moving to Lawton in July of 2005. He was a member of American Legion and Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; his mother-in-law, Syble Pollock, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Malinda Adams, Wichita Falls; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Robert Choate, Chico, Texas, and Cynthia and Robert Hudson, Cache; five grandchildren: Lacey, Nathan, Chris, Sarah and Ashely; three brothers and a sister-in-law: Jerry Adams, Ronnie and Sandra Adams, and Jimmy Adams, all of Wichita Falls; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Jane Pollock and Dennis and Shelley Pollock, all of Lawton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
