Inez was born in Kingsport in 1930, where in the late 1940s she met and married her one and only true love, Charles "Fats" Aesque . She had two children in the 1950s and became a homemaker and stay-at-home mother.
Inez was admired for her calming personality and her love of music. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, collecting antiques and sewing. In 1966, she was devastated after the passing of her beloved husband. However, she accepted the responsibility of a single parent by raising her children and starting a new career at North Electric Company in Gray.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Life Care Center at Gray and CNA, Susie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Fats" Aesque ; by her parents, James B. and Daisy Ferrell Hicks; her sister, Louise Wilder; and her brother, Joe Hicks.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Funeral Home and at other hours at the residence of her son, Charles Aesque .
A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Richard Cassidy will be officiating.
