OBITUARY: The Shreveport Times, Apr 29, 1988
Shreveport - Graveside services for Mr. John T. Aldridge, 62, of Shreveport, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the Old Minden Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Dick Evans, pastor of Southern Hills Baptist Church, will officiate. Mr. Aldridge, a resident of Shreveport for 30 years, died at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 1988, at Willis-Knighton Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Stamps, Ark. Mr. Aldridge was retired as a supervisor with Louisiana Industries in Bossier City, La. and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church and the Knights of Pythias. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Aldridge, two sons, John Reed Aldridge and Kearby Aldridge, and a daughter, Suzanne Aldridge, of Shreveport; one brother, Lloyd Aldridge of Waldo, Ark., Three grandchildren, Reed Aldridge, Jr., John Luttrell and Dustin Aldridge; one niece and several nephews.
