Nicholas James Alvarez
February 9, 1990 - July 24, 2015
It was February 9, 1990 that our precious boy Nicholas James Alvarez made his entrance into this world at Rupert Memorial Hospital. On July 24, 2015, he passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was 25 years young, full of life and without any doubt went to be with our precious Lord Jesus Christ.
Nicholas loved Idaho and had a passion for everything this amazing country has to offer; skiing, hunting, fishing, rafting, hiking, boating, motorcycle riding, camping, playing at our family cabin in McCall and just being outside enjoying the vast landscape. He truly loved the outdoors.
Nicholas was one of the funniest, wittiest people you could ever meet. Always full of bad advice and a joke to back it up, you couldn't help but laugh even if you were "that guy" getting the advice. We want all to know that although our hearts are broken, he loved the Lord and was a believer and this is where our strength lies.
He married Acie Rowen in 2011 and they had a beautiful boy they named Liam James Alvarez. When Liam was born, Nicholas' whole world shifted off its axis, everything revolved around his "Man Cub". Acie and Nicholas were later divorced but remained friends and wonderful parents.
Nicholas leaves behind so many people that love him including his son Liam, mom and dad, Lauran and Dianne Fereday, father, James Alvarez, sisters, Alexandra and Annaliese, grandparents Mary and Larry Smith, and Sharon and Lauray Fereday. He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Faith Jensen and Domingo Alvarez. Nicholas has many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends that touched his life. We can't forget to mention his pseudo brothers; Kyle, Josh, and Cole. Special thanks to the folks and co-workers at Direct TV, the Nelson and Rowen Family - we feel your love.
Words could never express the amazing love and support that we have received. Thank you for sharing what Nicholas meant in your lives with us.
Anyone who would like to share in the celebration of Nicholas' life is welcome. Services will be held at Breath Of Life church (620 Dearborn in Caldwell, ID 83605) on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a trust at Capital Educators FCU for his son Liam. Condolences may be left at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
