On June 26, 1851 he married Luvisa Bedford in Rusk County Texas (refer to Rusk county Texas marriage records Book A, Page 232.. William served in the Civil War (Confederate Army) as a private in the Texas 20th Batallion of the Texas Frontier Troops. He served under a Captain Yeary and he enlisted in Parker County Texas. His wife filed a widows veterans pension claim in 1915 where she provided much of the info in his Bio.It is not known where William is buried.
