Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Babcock, 85, of 1004 30th St., Rock Island, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Hodgson funeral home. The Rev. Dan Gold Long of Broadway Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery.

Mrs. Babcock died late Thursday in her home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Babcock, the former Hattie Jackson was born in Rock Island Dec. 12, 1870 and lived in the city her entire life. She married George M. Babcock Feb. 15, 1895 (sic).

Mrs. Babcock was a member of Broadway Church and of the Broadway Guild.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Metcalf, Detroit, Mich., two sons, William J. Babcock of Lafayette, Calif., and George S. Babcock of Toledo, Ohio, and eight grandchildren.
