Born on Aug. 24, 1910, in Corinth he was the son of Charles J. Aldrich Sr. and Winnie (Burnham) Aldrich.
He married Marion E. Denton on April 14, 1935, in Stony Creek. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage prior to her death on Feb. 23, 2004.
Charles was a self-employed woodsman in the area for most of his life and was known for his tremendous work ethic. He was 1 24 year member (1947 to 1971) and past president of the Hadley-Luzerne Central School Board.
He enjoyed his work in the woods, gardening, hunting, fishing and maple sugaring with his wife, Marion E. Denton Aldrich.
