Neal McKay Died March 23, 2011. Preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Lochamy Bryan. Preceded in death by parents, N. McKay, Daisy Simpson Bryan and sister, Louise Bryan Butts. "Mack" was born in Nashville on February 18, 1917. He attended Nashville Public Schools, graduating from Central High and Andrew Jackson Business University. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in August, 1942 and served bravely with the U.S. First Infantry Division, aka the BIG RED ONE, in the North African and European theatres from January, 1943 to August, 1945, serving in Algiers, at the Sicily invasion, and Omaha Beach among others. Upon discharge in September 1945, he became associated with W.L. Hailey and Company, Inc., serving in various managerial capacities until his retirement in 1982, at which time he was Vice-President, Treasurer, Controller and Corporate Director. Mack remained a Corporate Director for Hailey until 1987. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, West End Sertoma Club, formerly a member of Hillwood Country Club, where he enjoyed many a happy hour, and past President of Nashville Seniors Golf Association. Mack was a scholar and a gentleman, who will be sadly missed by many special friends, including David and Hilda Spear, Harriet Spear, sister-in-law, Evelyn Lochamy, and many friends at the St. Paul Retirement Community where he lived for a number of years. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1 p.m., with the Reverend Sandra L. Randleman officiating. Although Mack and his wife did not have any children, they loved kids. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Honorary Pallbearers, including friends, employees of W.L. Hailey & Company, and members of West End Sertoma Club, are Edsel E. Bates, Ellis T. Dale, B. B. Joyner of Franklin, C. Harold LeWitt, Eugene H. Lunn of Columbia, David Spear, G. E. Thornton and Rondall G. Woods. Active Pallbearers are Thomas A. Battan, Richard L. Cooper, Clifford K. McGown, Roy T. McDonald, Sam H.
