He was Petty Officer Stoker V25073 in the RCNVR (Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve) aboard HMCS MATANE during the Second World War.
He was 33 years old when he died.
He was the son of Severin L. AUCOIN and Marie AUCOIN of Point Cross, Inverness Co., Nova Scotia.
HMCS MATANA was a River Class Frigate with Pennant no:- K 444. It took part in the D-Day landings in June 1944.
