Mrs. Joe Aberson passed away at her home near Alton at about 8:30 Monday evening. Her death came as a shock to family and friends, as her condition was not considered serious until a few minutes of her passing. She leaves a six-week old baby and three other children five years and and under, who, with the father, have the deep sympathy of the community.
Her parents too, Mr. and Mrs. Leenhouts, feel keenly the passing of their only child.
Mrs. Aberson had scarlet fever a few weeks ago and her death was a result of complications following the disease. The young mother was 29 years, 7 months and 3 days of age.
She was born in Sioux County and has lived practically all her life in this vicinity.
Private funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon and later at the cemetery, where many friends were present.
