Isaac Peter "Pete" Lewis was born in Missouri in 1897. Before his death in 1910 he was married twice: first to Elizabeth "Lizzie" Halbrook, 22 Dec 1899, with whom he had two children, Jesse Lewis (born in 1902) and an infant daughter who was stillborn on 26 Jan 1906; and second to Carolina "Cary" Joslyn, 16 Feb 1907 with whom he had two daughters, Edith Fern Lewis born on 13 Feb 1908 and Catherine Lewis, born on 15 Sep 1910. Catherine was part of a triplet birth (two females, one male). The triplets were put into a St. Louis orphanage with no identifying information and the children lost track of each other.
Peter was killed in a mining accident in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He was buried in Maple Park Cemetery Block 29, Lot 14.
