Cora was forth child of Frederick and Harriet Helf. She married Josepgh Earl Conover on December 17, 1911 in Oklahoma City, OK. Joseph was born Jan. 10, 1886 in Goshen, OH and died 1982, Lebanon, Warren Co., OH. Before marriage, Cora made her living as a seamstress in Oklahoma City. She ws such an accomplished seamstress that the owner of the shop hired one girl whos sole duty was to fill bobbins for Cora's use. She supplemented the family's income by sewing concert gowns for a pianist in Middletown. The local hardware store hired her to demonstrate the mangle irons that appeared in the 1920's and 1930;s, Earl was a plumber by trade and they moved to Cincinati in 1915, and to Middletown, OH in 1917 where they lived on Beech Street. In 1923 they moved to 805 Mary Etta in Middletown. In 1929 they are listed at this address.
