Sarah J. Abner Buried Tuesday
Succumbs Sunday At Daughter's Home
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Abner were held in the Salem Friends church Tuesday afternoon, on which day she would have observied her 81st birthday. The Rev. Aaron Napier, of Winchester, officiated. Burial was in the Salem cemetery.
Mrs. Abner, who had been in failing health for the past year, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chauncey Lowe. A native of Kentucky, Mrs. Abner had resided in Union county practically all of her life.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Brandenburg, of Indianapolis, Mrs. James Warner, of Detroit, and Mrs. Lowe; two sons, Smith Abner, of Connersville, and Ross Abner, of Elwood; two brothers, Sherman Noe, of Jacksonville, Tenn., and Phillip Noe, of Dayton, and two sister, Mrs. Belle Brewer, of Dayton, and Mrs. Amy Rogers, of Oxford. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.
