"Gene", a friendly, easy going man. As a local, he was a known good butcher at Ludlam's Store for many years. Later in years he was well known for his home baked cakes, ie. red velvet, pound & German Chocolate, to name a few. Folks would pay him well for these. He retired as a cook from the Louisian Oil rigs.
Son of William Marshall Johnson & Beulah Mae Graves, also buried at Almarante. Husband of Myra Jowers Johnson. Both are buried in the Johnson family plot.
This was my husband's uncle.
