Ralph Milton Alexander, 64, of 416 Peacock Lane, Summerville, died Sunday, March 5, 1995. in a North Charleston hospital. Mr. Alexander was born October 9, 1930, in Berkeley County, a son of Isadora Burbage Alexander and the late William Nathan Alexander. He was educated in Berkeley County schools and served in the Army. He was a retired truck driver with Central ABF Trucking Company and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother of Summerville, his wife, Myra Haigler Alexander of Summerville two sons: SFC James N. Alexander of Ft. Jackson, S.C. and Ralph M. Alexander, Jr. of Walterboro; four daughters: Betsy Varga, Margie Alexander, Beverly Stephens and Abbigail Austin, all of Summerville; two brothers, Hulbert W. Alexander of Summerville and Arthur L. Alexander of Las Vegas, Nev.; five sisters, Annie J. Sifford, Fannie Mae Johnson, Doris L. Clark and Isadora D. Mizell, all of Summerville and Mildred Donovan of Waxhaw, N.C.; and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, at Salem Baptist Church of Summerville. Burial will be in Alexander Family Cemetery, Summerville. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 321 Old Summerville Road, Summerville, S.C. 29483.
