Funeral for Fred Adams, 68, of Town Creek will be Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Willie Williams officiating. Burial will be in Donald Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Adams, who died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at his residence, was born April 12, 1937, in Limestone County to Clyde and Estelle Adams. He retired from the Town Creek Cotton Gin. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include six sons, Jerry Adams, Jimmy Adams, Jeff Adams and Jason Adams, all of Town Creek, Kenneth Adams of Texarkana, Texas, and Robert Owens of Moulton; two daughters, Annie Latham and Lisa Claborn, both of Courtland; two brothers, Clyde Adams Jr. of Huntsville and Thurman Adams of Tanner; five sisters, Margie Dempsey, Dora Cantrell, Joann Sides and Polly Brinkley, all of Limestone County, and Ellawill Jett of Carrollton, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chigger Mears, Doug Sides, David Pitts, Benny Hill, King Streater and Charles Agee.
