Kenneth Charles "Rose" Anderson passed away peacefully in Pasadena, TX on July 20, 2011 at the age of 65. He was born in San Antonio, TX on September 28, 1945 to John Louis Anderson and Lucille Theresa Untermeyer-Anderson. Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Valeria Groff-Anderson; 2 sons, John Anderson, Mark Anderson and wife Alicia; 1 daughter Kathy Anderson; 2 grandchildren, Ashley and Ian Anderson; 1 brother, Wayne Anderson and wife Joleen Clifton; 1 sister Theresa Manlove and husband Bill; stepmother Aiko Anderson; brother-in-law, Jerry Groff and wife Bonnie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extend family members and friends. Kenneth is also survived by his beloved dog Hay Boy.
Kenneth graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963. After graduation he attended St. Mary's University. He move to Pasadena in 1966, became a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, and began his career at Lubrizol which lasted 41 years until his retirement. Kenneth was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family at their beach house on Bolivar.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 22, 2011 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Pius V Catholic Church 824 S. Main St. Pasadena, TX 77506, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the NRA.
