LODIAN DIES IN HOSPITAL WHILE IN ESCONDIDO
Reinhold G. Adolf, 66, of 421 Olive Court, died Saturday at an Escondido hospital where he became ill while on a visit.
Born in North Dakota, he grew up there and attended schools. He came to Lodi in 1919 and was married to Ruth Schafer March 31, 1921. In semi-retirement for several years, he was last employed as a watch man for a local winery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Adolf of Lodi: three sons, Arthur, Calvin and Don Adolf all of Lodi; one daughter, Mrs. Goldie Lehman of Ramona; one brother, Ed Adolf of Bismark, N.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Knecht of Lodi and Mrs. Lydia Smith of Oroville; and 13 grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Lodi Funeral Home with Rev. William Copeland of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
