William (Bill) was born in McPherson, Kansas to George Lenoir Allison and Eleanor Ruth Huston Allison. He was the grandson of George Wilkerson Allison & Mary E. Lenoir Allison.

Bill was in the Army during WWII and served his country in Africa & Italy. He graduated from Kansas University where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Bill worked out of San Francisco with a business that sold items to give as gifts to their customers until his retirement.
He did not marry.
