Darla Jewel Heil, age 82, of San Antonio died Tuesday, September 12, 2006. She was born on September 2, 1924 in Rehoboth, Ohio to Frank and Edna Brown Weller. She was a member of the MacArthur Park Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Robert J. Heil on June 19, 1977; and by a sister, Laura McLaughlin. She is survived by her son, Robert F. Heil and wife, Barbara, of Fort Worth; two daughters: Kathryn Holman and husband, Elton, of San Antonio; Kim Talley and husband, Jerry, of Richmond; ten grandchildren: Robert, Russel, Meredith, Joseph, Erick, Rebecca, Jayson, Leslie, Lindsay & Laura; three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Myran & Elizabeth; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Finch Chapel in Nixon on Friday, Sept. 15th, from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16th, at 11:00 A.M. at the Nixon Cemetery with Robert F. Heil officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
