Jana Ables, 36, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, after a four_year battle with cancer.
Services were Thursday, Aug. 13, at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Burial was in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Mrs. Ables was born Aug. 11, 1962, in Eastland. She was a Burleson resident for nine years and a member of First Baptist Church. She was an office manager for a Mid_Cities plumbing company. She was an avid fitness enthusiast and an animal lover. She participated four times in the Race for the Cure.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Ables of Burleson; two daughters, Kaylea and Megan Ables of Burleson; her father David McKinney and Shirley Carson of North Richland Hills; her mother, Joyce Graham of Burleson; a brother, Mark McKinley of Bend, Ore.; grandparents, Nell Riffe of Cisco, Edna Causey of San Antonio and Geneva McKinley of Snyder. She was the great_niece of Ola Short of Hamilton.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Fort Worth.
