Albin Baker was born in Middlepoint, Ohio on September 25, 1862; to Adam William & Elizabeth Speaker Baker. Death claimed another pioneer of this district when Albin passed away February 24, 1942 at the age of 79 years 4 months and 29 days in the Valley View Hospital in Monroe, Washington. He had been ill for several days.

Albin and his wife, Eliza Reed Baker came to Washington in 1903 with several children. They settled in the Burn Hill district - just south of Arlington. He is survived by his wife, Eliza; three sons - Clarence and Frank Baker of Hoquiam and Estle Baker of Arlington; four daughter, Mrs Mary (Frank) Darrow, Mrs Evelyn (Howard) Wardell and Mrs Stella (William) Lind of Arlington and Mrs Della (Fred) Pickeral of Alberta, Canada.

Funeral services will be held at Moll's Chapel in Arlington, Wa Friday, February 27th at 2:30 PM. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
