Ruth was born to the parents of William Thomas and Mattie Mae Esselman. She lived her whole life in Waxahachie. Married William Sealy Cox in the mid 1930's. They had four kids: Marilyn Jo, William, James and Susan.
Ruth was a fine lady, who was always dressed classy even if she stayed home. She had worked a long time for her fathers business at Esselman Electric answering the phones, doing paper work and making sure that everything was tooken care for in the business. A long time member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie. She always had time for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. My fondest memories of her was when she would come see her sister, my grandmother with her daughter Marilyn Jo.
