Loa Moss Brown
On November 1, 2005, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, returned to her Heavenly Father at Dixie Regional Medical Center. Surrounded by her loving family, and holding the hand of her eternal sweetheart, she left these earthly bonds and entered into her Savior's presence.
Loa was born May 23, 1924 in St. George, Utah, to Carl Lenzi and Annis Blair Moss. She graduated from Dixie High School in May of 1942. She married Marden Brown September 8, 1942. Their union was later solemized in the St. George temple May 29, 1964. Loa was extremely proud of her Utah pioneer heritage, and exhibited that strength and determination in all aspects of her life. She was a talented seamstress, sewing clothes for many years for the residents of souther Utah. She was a wonderful cook. She loved to knit. She had a gift for oil painting, and shared that gift with family and friends. She loved the gospel and served her Savior in many capacities of the church. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved to tell anyone who would listen of all their accomplishments.
Loa is survived by her husband; son, Wally (Marilee) of St. George; daughter Judy (David) Richards of Belfair, Washington; son Richard (Julie) of St. George; daughter Betty (Hal) Leavitt of St. George; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother Carl Lenzi Moss, Jr. (Carol), of Cedar City, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Betty Lou Gramlick; sister Rea (infant); sister Ila Jane Willis.
