Philip was born in Brolov, Russia. His parents were Morris Asroff and Rosie (nee Ninburg). He was the third born of five children. Other siblings were Charles, Frank, Ruben and Gertrude. Philip was a tailor.
In 1917 the family lived at 953 N. 6th St. and Philip worked for Jacob Reed, 807 Arch St., Philadelphia
On June 22, 1927 he married Mollie Techner. They moved to 324 E. Louden St. In 1930 they couple had a girl and in 1936 they had a boy.
During the 1930s he worked for the Royal Clothing Co. in Philadelphia.
By 1940 Philip and Mollie were living at 245 E. Louden St.
On November 13, 1940 Philip died at the Jewish (now Albert Einstein) Hospital of uremia (kidney failure). At the time, he was employed in clothing manufacturing.

ASROFF.- Nov. 14. PHILIP, husband of Mollie Asroff, of 245 E. Louden st., aged 41 years. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral, Fri., 12 noon, at Asher's Chapel, 1309 N. Broad st. Int. Montefiore Cem.
Philip is buried at Montefiore Cemetery in Montgomery County, Pa. Also buried here is Philip's brother-in-law Max Techner and Philip's own brother Charles. The family burial lot is owned by the Brolover Progressive Beneficial Association.
