Virginia P. Cooley
Virginia P. Cooley passed away suddenly, Monday, December 18th at her home in Blue Rapids.
She was born November 24, 1927, at Blue Rapids and spent her life in the Blue Rapids community. She formerly was employed at Mary Marshall Manor at Marysville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Trudy Kennedy, Italy, and Airman 1/C Paula Cooley, West Berlin, Germany; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Throm, Blue Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Waxler, McCune, Kansas and Mrs. Patricia Angerer, Denver, Colorado; and a brother, Leon Throm, Blue Rapids.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church on Thursday the 21st with Rev. Gail Mooney officiating.
Mrs. Monty Brooks presided at the organ for the funeral services and accompanied Pastor and Mrs. Mooney who sang appropriate selections.
Pall bearers were Marvyn Weeks, Joe Warders, Vic Stanley, Monty Brooks, Frank Fuller and Charles J. Hula.
Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery with Perry Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
