Isaac C. Abbott was born in Beverly, Mass. the son of John Abbott. He was a shoemaker when he entered the U S Navy as a seaman, January 8, 1862. He served aboard The VERMONT.

In 1933 Roger W. Hanners of 7 Cedar St., Beverly, Mass.made an application for a gov't. grave-marker for the un-marked grave of a veteran, Isaac W. Abbott, who had died June 14, 1884, and had been buried in Central Cemetery, Beverly, Mass. The stone was erected July 19, 1933.
There is no death record at Beverly City Clerk's Office.
