Tommie Joe Beason, 65, formerly of Boonville, Indiana, Beaver Dam and McHenry, Kentucky and a longtime resident of Bayou L'Ourse, Morgan City, LA, was found dead at his home on Thursday, June 16, 2011. Tommie was a retired employee of the U.S. Corp of Engineers, where he was a lock and dam operator, and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
A father of two children, Tommie enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and coin collecting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle (Dee) Ozelia Caro; his parents, Frank and Vernie Powers Beason; and a sister, Sarah Beason Tibbs.
He is survived by one son, Tommie Joseph Beason; a daughter, Tammy Guilbeau and her husband Ernest, of Franklin, LA four brothers, Frank of Chicago, IL, Robert of Marion, OH, Richard (Sherry) of Italy, TX and Gene Beason of Portage, IN; two sisters, Vernie Dunn of ,Strafford, MO and Katie Lyons of Elwood, Indian; and three grandchildren, Averie Beason, Tyreke Guilbeau and Ariana Guilbeau of Franklin, LA.
