Before "emigrating" four children were born in Ireland. 1. James b. 1822 d. circa 1843
2. Garrett H. b. 1825 d. 12-27-1871 in Ft. Wallace, Wallace, KS but, lived in Salina, Kankakee, IL. He m. Emily Vining 1853 and had two children. Emily died and he re-married to Eliza Barry 1859 in Kankakee, IL and they had four children.

5. Margaret (Palmer) b. 1832-34 She m. Isaac Palmer 10-22-1853 Kankakee, Will County, IL and they had 11 children.
6. Mary Josephine (Barry) b. 1833 d. 1923 She m. James J. Barry and had 7 children.

8. Bridget(Lewis) b. 1836 d 1922 She m. Edward Lewis and had 3 children.

The Fitzgerald and Barry's married into each other families several times making them double cousins. Mary Fitzgerald had a daughter, Alice that married a Robidoux and their daughter, Elizabeth Agnes was the only woman in the encampment while getting the railroad thru. So, they named the Town after her in Elizabeth, Colorado.
