Her mother, Maureen Hoffart, 45, was arrested on suspicion of endangering the life or health of a child and was being held without bail in Sacramento County jail.

Coroner's spokesman said it's apparent that the mother took methamphetamine shortly before breast-feeding her child. "The child ingested a lethal dose of the drug."
