Kenneth L. Kozak Sr., 57, of 18622 E. 39th, died Thursday at the Independence Sanitarium Hospital.
Mr. Kozak was bor in South Shore, S.D. and moved to Independence 25 years ago from Willow Spings., Mo. He was a World War 11 Navy veteran and a member of East 39th Street RLDS Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah A. Kozak, of the home; a son, Kenneth L. Kozak Jr., Milwaukee, Wis; two daughters, Mrs. Sibyl L. Barton, 1111 E. Frederick, and Mrs. Carolyn Rinacke, Sibley; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ada Ruth Brunson, 15112 E. 40th; four brothers, Howard Kozak, 8539 Hays, Overland Park, Kan., George Kozak, Longmont, Colo., and Matthew Kozak., Park Grove, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Pearson, Gaston, Ore., and Mrs. Catherine Bond, 7914 W. 81st, Overland Park, Kan.; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Carson Chapel, with burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
