Emma was the daughter of John and Mary Ann (Street) Dennison. She was born at Murley's Branch, near Flintstone. She married Issac Bateson, born in Pennsylvania about 1832, on 2 October 1855 in Allegany Co., Maryland. They had two children: John Wesley Bateson (1856-1914) and Samuel L. Bateson (1859-bef.1870). It is likely that Emma's mother, Mary Ann (Street) Dennison is also buried here, but no marker is present. It is proven that her sister Frances Ann "Fannie" (Dennison) Rohrer is buried here, but no marker is present.
