Leroy had been a Roswell resident since 1937. He owned and operated the Capitol TV and Roswell Communications, Inc.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 until 1946, in the C.B.I.
Leroy was a member of the B.P.O.E. No. 969, and a member of the NMMI Golf Association.
Both parents preceded him in death; a sister, Bertha Pullam; and a brother, John Ray Chambers.
He married Josephine M. Ogles on Oct. 11, 1947, in Roswell. She survives him at the family home. Other survivors include two sons; two sisters and a granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, many special friends and golfing buddies.
