William L. Armiger, an active Lutheran church worker and the superintendent of the Sunday school of St. Mark's English Lutheran Church, died yesterday morning of a complication of diseases at his home on Orkney road, Govans. He was 60 years old. He had been ill for about seven months.
Most of the members of his family were by his beside when he died. He is survived by two sons, Richard D. and John S. Armiger; three daughters, Mary, Ida C. Armiger, Mrs. J. H. Skeen, and by his widow, Mrs. Ida D. Armiger.
The funeral will be held from the home on Monday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The Rev. Dr. W. M. Dunbar, pastor of St. Mark's, will officiate and the body will be buried in Greenmount Cemetery.
Mr. Armiger was very active in the lay work of his church and had many friends among them. He was one of the directors of Lutheran Deaconess Mothers Home.
