Helen was the wife of George Abounader who passed on in 1998. They had two children, Sharon and Gloria.Helen F. Abounader of Naples, FL, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 with her children by her side. Mrs. Abounader had lived in New Hartford, NY before moving to Naples in 1970. She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and actively participated in its ministry whenever and wherever she was needed. She was a member of the Conference of Catholic Women. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul twice weekly for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, George in 1998; and her beloved grandson, Nicholas Abounader in 1997. She is survived by her children, Sharon Bonnet and George Abounader, both of Naples. She was the cherished grandmother of Shelley Church and Roger Abounader and his wife, Ana and Michael Abounader; and greatgrand daughter, Annika Church. Her siblings included seven brothers and a sister. Her sister, Gloria Sakran of Naples; and her brothers, Anthony, Fred and Joseph Ferris, of Utica, NY; survive her as well as several nieces, nephews and greatnieces and nephews.
