Donald Harold Berry was the illegitimate Son of Reed Berry and Louise Winifred Owen.

Donald died of sclerema [sklĕ-re´mah), which is an induration of the subcutaneous fat. Sclerema according to several medical references, is also known in newborns as sclerema neonatorum, that is a diffuse, waxlike hardening of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. It occurs in premature and debilitated infants during the first weeks of life and is usually associated with an underlying condition such as sepsis, congenital heart disease, respiratory distress, or severe dehydration. As the disease progresses, the skin becomes cold, mottled, yellow to white, and stony hard. The prognosis is poor if it becomes generalized.

Donald died after suffering with this disease for the first five days of his life. He was buried at this cemetery on October 26, 1940. His Mother, Louise Owen, provided information for his death certificate. It is not known as to whether Reed Berry knew of his Son's birth by Louise or not. Reed was living in 1940 in Marietta, Washington, Ohio. At the time of Donald's birth, Louise was located in Union County, Ohio.
