Eddie Casterline was one of the top drivers from New England, racing out of Malden, Mass. His first race was at Readville, Mass. in a big car. Eddie raced both big cars and midgets. 1946 was Eddie's banner year when he won the Bay State Midget championship with thirty feature wins and fourteen runner up finishes.

Eddie was killed in a midget crash on June 6th, 1947 at Seekonk Speedway.
