Looks like John remarried as apparent from the mention of stepchildren. I looked for a Lilla Colbert and didn't find anything so I checked Lilla Wallace and there she is (#52969419). Her maiden name is Barron and in the 1940 census she's listed as Lilla B. Colbert with John. With this it seems almost certain this is his second wife. Sometimes a wife is buried under her previous married name because the stone was already started though this isn't the case as she has her own. Perhaps she was to be buried WITH her first husband as John was to be buried with his first wife. Anyway, here's his obituary...

Last Rites Conducted
On Sunday Afternoon
For John G. Colbert
Funeral services for John Goodson Colbert were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Green-Kleinegger chapel with the Rev. Davis officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove cemetery.
Mr. Colbert died at his home in Sibley following an extended illness. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lilla Colbert, the following nieces and Nephews: Dr. James Colbert, Norman, Okla.; Thomas A. Colbert, Vivian; Katherine C. Colbert, Minden; Nellie G. Colbert, Mrs. Gladys Hossby, Baton Rouge; Lemuel Colbert, New Orleans.
The following stepchildren survive Mr. Colbert, Mrs. Don Ward; Mrs. T.A. Beauchamp, Paul Wallace all of Minden; Arthur Wallace, Benton.
