S. Adragna
Salvatore Adragna, former Orland resident, died Monday at Parkland Hospital, San Leandro. A native of Italy, born Nov. 27, 1877, he was a retired employee of the Alaska Packers Association.
He had lived in Orland from 1954 to 1960, but after the death of his wife he moved to San Lorenzo to make his home with a daughter.
His survivors include two sons, Sam, of Orland, and Adolph of Alameda; three daughters, Virginia Valdez, Fremont; Melba Liotto, and Marie Pisciotti, both of San Lorenzo; a brother, Natale, in Italy; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
A rosary service was held at noon today at the Sweet Chapel and Mass was to follow in St. Dominic's Catholic Church here. Burial is to be in the Catholic Cemetery. The son, Sam, who lives here, has closed his Cottage Cafe today out of respect for his father. – Transcribed by M.
