Born to Constance Lemieux and Francois Marcelle Labrie, Arthur was the 10th of 12 children. He lived in Kankakee County until his father died and the family moved to Dakota Territory. He married Victoria Lefort in 1887 and they had four children. Victoria died 10 Sep 1896 at a Chicago Hospital. He advertised for a housekeeper and found Mary Angele St Martin Davies, from a pioneer French Canadian family in Bloomington, MN. She and Arthur married 27 Jan 1899 at St Joseph's Church in Turton, Spink, SD and raised his four children, her daughters Laura and Georgia, and two sons they had together, Wesley and Victor.
Arthur was a stock buyer and shipper.
He died 9 June 1926 in Turton and is buried in the St Joseph Cemetery.
