Thomas was a carpenter, working for Wakefield & Jacobson. He was a member of Americus Lodge, No. 1, K. of P. [Knights of Pythias], and Prosperity Camp, No. 306, Woodmen of the World. Thomas was married and his wife was by his bedside.
