Violet I. Autio, age 89 a lifelong resident of Watton, MI, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Bayside Village in L'Anse, MI.
Violet was born November 3, 1922 in Watton, daughter of August and Fannie (Niemi) Maki. She married Waino Autio on June 3, 1945 in Trout Creek, MI. Violet was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her brothers, Raymond (Cynthia) Maki of Watton, Glenn (Betty) Maki of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Waino Autio; brother Norman Maki; sisters, Fern Tilson, Lily Urpila, Sadie Hutula and Donna Laundy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 12:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Covington with Pastor Peter Suomela officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the spring in the Covington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
