FROM ABOUT 1900 TO SHORTLY BEFORE HER DEATH IN 1926 MARGRET ANNA HELSLEY/KINSER TAUGHT THE L SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS AT THE FIELD STREET BAPTIST CHURCH IN CLEBURNE, JOHNSON CO., TX. UPON HER DEATH THE PRESIDENT OF THE CLASS, MRS. H. L. CHAMBLESS AND CLASS MEMBERS WROTE THE FOLLOWING POEM.
"IN MEMORY OF OUR CLASS MOTHER AND TEACHER MRS. M. A. KINSER. IT WAS READ AT HER FUNERAL SERVICE.
THERE'S A VACANT CHAIR IN OUR CLASS TODAY A PLACE WE CAN NEVER FILL,
YET WE BOW OUR HEADS IN SUBMISSION TO THE HEAVENLY FATHER'S WILL,
WE SHALL MISS HER DEAR FACE AND SWEET PRESENCE AS WE MEET FROM DAY TO DAY,
YET WE ARE THANKFUL FOR THE MASTER FOR HAVING HER PASS THIS WAY,
TO OUR CLASS SHE HAD BEEN A MOTHER, A FRIEND, A TEACHER SO FAITHFUL AND TRUE,
TO HER SISTERS AND BROTHER AND CHILDREN SHE MEANT MORE THAN WE EVER KNEW.
THO OUR HEARTS ARE MADE SAD BY HER GOING IF WE COULD WE'D NOT HAVE HER REMAIN
FOR SHE IS GONE TO BE WITH THE SAVIOR AND OUR LOSS IS HEAVEN'S GAIN,
GRIEVE NOT DEAR FRIENDS AT THE GOING OF ONE , WHOM WE KNOW IS TO LOVE THE PARTING,
FOR WE KNOW IT IS FOR JUST A SEASON, RE-UNITING IN HEAVEN ABOVE,
MAY WE LIVE SUCH LIVES OF SERVICE AND GIVE UNTO HIM OUR BEST THAT WE TO MAY HEAR,
THE MASTER'S VOICE SAY "COME UNTO TO ME AND REST."
A COPY OF THIS POEM WAS GIVEN TO EACH OF HER CHILDREN.
AT THEIR PASSING THEY GAVE THEIR COPY TO ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN. MY MOTHER, VIVIAN MARIE KINSER/HUMPHREY,
MARGRET'S GRAND DAUGHTER GAVE IT TO ME. SO NOW IT HAS PASSED TO THREE GENERATIONS FOR A TOTAL OF 86 YEARS IN 2012.
