Bartholomew Anthony, also known as Bartholomeus Antonie or Bartholomes Antony, served in the American Revolution. He was the husband of Catharina Peck (Pik). About 1757 he emigrated to America. He served in the American Revolution in the Albany County (NY) Militia - 14th (Yates) Regiment. Source: "Revolutionary War Compiled Service Records, 1775-1783 (index)." Many of Bartholomew's male descendants were skilled carpenters and builders.
Some gedcoms list a different death date (1809), but according to the 1810 census record a male in his seventies (Bartholomew) was living with son Jacob Anthony in Schoharie, NY. Gravestone missing.
